Fresco with a main and a supporting scene. The main is a Muse possibly Cleo. The papyrus she was reading shows the word ‘history’. The supporting scene shows a collection of papyrus scrolls and written volumes which Catullus reminds us is called ‘capsula’. There is also a collection of wax tablets, inkwell and writing pen.
