Description

A lead piece, rounded with flat bottom. Items such as this could have had multiple uses, also including seals (in which case it would likely have had a shape stamped into it). It could also have been a gaming piece, a counting “calculus” or standard weight. We have not weighed it to check it against the traditional Roman weights (oz).
